The death of a loved one is a difficult and often bewildering time. We at the Church of the Ascension offer you a supportive and caring service to help you plan and lead the service celebrating and commending your loved one whether in church at the crematorium or cemetery.
We are increasingly aware that families and friends want a very personal and flexible approach to planning that special memorial and we are here to help you make the service as personal to you and the person we commemorate as possible.
Our clergy all have a wide range of experience in conducting memorial and funeral services and a host of materials including music, poetry and readings to make the service as personal and memorable as possible. We look forward to being of assistance; please contact us directly or via your undertaker.
As Christian ministers our role goes beyond conducting the service and we are always available for support and help following the day of the funeral. During the liturgical celebrations at our church your loved one and you their family will be prayed for in the weeks before and after the service, we commemorate the departed monthly at the Requiem Eucharist (1st Wednesday of the month at 10am) and our annual service of remembrance in early November is a great comfort to many. Simply put, we are here to help, just call us.
